We have been active in our community since 2008. It all started with our Outpost program, which was set up to foster friendships in our neighborhood. As we initiated relationships, we began to recognize there was a high poverty level hidden in the northwest area of OKC. The deeper we engaged in connecting with our community, it became clear that in order for us to make the biggest impact in our neighborhood, we needed to have a venue that could gather resources and partnerships to help meet the needs. That is when we decided to become an organization and started the process of becoming a 501c3, which we obtained in 2013.
The biggest challenge we are facing is that a large number of the children, youth and adults in our neighborhood are living at or below poverty level. Our mission is to positively impact OKC with a holistic approach to child & adolescent development, adult enrichment and neighborhood empowerment.
We hope to change family legacy by breaking the cycle of poverty. We believe we be successful when we approach the issues that surround the cycle of poverty holistically. Research tells us, this is the one sure way to make a lasting impact. And this is what we are setting out to do!
We are always looking for individuals, organizations and businesses that are as passionate as we are about reducing poverty through developing, enriching and empower individuals to dig deep and find motivation to change their story while we walk alongside of them in friendship.
