showing up in our neighborhood Our Outpost ministry has been positively impacting apartment complexes within the Putnam City Original area of OKC since 2008. It is geared to provide a positive presence, on site in the low income or government-subsidized facilities that we have partnered with. This enables us achieve our mission – to break the cycle of poverty.
It is a weekly community cookout that offers free food for all who attends. The intent of the weekly cookout is to go into our neighborhood to foster friendships, identifying personal & community needs, as well as facilitate a non-threatening community event that will hopefully be the foundation for community empowerment to aspire.
enriching students after school
Our after-school enrichment program is offered for Kindergarten through 5th grade students. Our goal is to provide a safe place for our at-risk kids after school. Our program includes homework help, as well as a variety of focuses that involve:
ACADEMICS – life skills, relationship education, nutrition and wellness
ARTS — education, hands on activities, creating a portfolio
ATHLETICS — games, physical education
ADVENTURES — once a month outings
Through our partnership with the Regional Food Bank, we are able to serve a meal to every student aged 18 and under everyday during program time.
Our Kids’ Club program is provided to students at no cost to their family. What this means is that we depend on the monetary support of people like YOU to help us continue to provide incredible support to these kiddos!
redefining pretty, popular, and powerfulOur after school leadership program for middle school girls. We are geared to provide a holistic approach to relationship education and life skills development that will mature our participants into leaders.
Our focus is to take the culture’s present message of pretty, popular and powerful, and redefine these concepts. We believe that by investing in girls that are at-risk in our neighborhood, they will be confident to impact the health and well-being of their families, schools and communities.
