This is Who We Are

The mission of ONE: Our Neighborhood Empowered is to positively impact OKC by providing programs that enables child & adolescent development, adult enrichment, and neighborhood empowerment through a Christ-centered style that meets the spiritual, physical, emotional, and academic needs of our neighbors.

our expertise

We help individuals of all ages grow and expand in knowledge and cultivate life skills that are the essential building blocks for a flourishing life. Our participants have ample opportunities to challenge unhealthy norms and set goals to transform those behaviors.

We aim to enhance our community of participants by embracing individuals wherever they are in their journey. Encouraging a better awareness of self-motivation, managing self and identifying innate talents that will propel them forward.

We wholeheartedly believe that entire neighborhoods can be transformed when individual lives are changed and as we come together to tackle systems that stifle the well-being of our city. Standing alongside our community, we strengthen our voices as we work at making lasting positive changes for generations to come.

Statement of Faith

“If you offer your food to the hungry and satisfy the needs of the afflicted, then your light shall rise in the darkness and your gloom be like the noonday.  The LORD will guide you continually, and satisfy your needs in parched places, and make your bones strong; and you shall be like a watered garden like a spring of water, whose waters never fail. Your ancient ruins shall be rebuilt; you shall raise up the foundations of many generations; you shall be called the repairer of the breach, the restorer of streets to live in.”  Isaiah 58:10-12

our Story

We have been active in our community since 2008.  It all started with our Outpost program, which was set up to foster friendships in our neighborhood.  As we initiated relationships, we began to recognize there was a high poverty level hidden in the northwest area of OKC.  The deeper we engaged in connecting with our community, it became clear that in order for us to make the biggest impact in our neighborhood, we needed to have a venue that could gather resources and partnerships to help meet the needs.  This is when we decided to become an organization and started the process of becoming a 501c3, which we obtained in 2013.

The biggest challenge we are facing is that a large number of the children, youth and adults in our neighborhood are living at or below the poverty level.

Our mission is to positively impact OKC with a holistic approach to child and adolescent development, adult enrichment, and neighborhood empowerment.

We hope to change family legacies by breaking the cycle of poverty. We believe we are successful when we approach the issues that surround the cycle of poverty holistically.

We are always looking for individuals, organizations, and businesses that are as passionate as we are about reducing poverty through developing, enriching, and empowering individuals to change their story while walking alongside them in friendship.
